Olympics Count Down…

We walked from London Bridge on the south and north banks of the River Thames on Sunday, near the Tower of London.  For once this summer it didn’t rain!  There was a lovely festive spirit, and much preparation going on for the Olympics.  Everywhere, barriers and scaffolds being erected and lots of film/TV cameras and equipment going up in preparation for the opening ceremony on Friday I presume. The ‘pink’ direction signs are starting to look normal now, except they all seem to point in the wrong direction to me!

Today the Olympic torch passed through my borough of Bromley – Crystal Palace Park and National Sports Stadium, followed by other neighbouring boroughs of Lewisham and Croydon.
